This music series has 3 songwriter rounds. I'm in the 8:00 one
For Vermont and Ali fans it's a no-brainer! She's throwing a big house music event on her amazing property. Campers welcome, Her place is 10 minutes from downtown Brattleboro.
ZUZU's (formerly the Chthonic Clash) is a lovely new spot, and best of all VERY supportive of regional artists. I'm so pleased to be playing there. It's going to be one my first gigs with my NEW BAND called...COLD SPRING! Featuring Liz Nolf, Terese Giammarco and Nick Polholchuk. You'll hear perverted covers of 'Afternoon Delight', 'Jive Talking' and 'I Will Survive' that = lots of harmony and hilarity. Of course we'll be doing plenty of my tunes as well.
Holy Cow! I'm really pleased and proud to be playing at this haven for music in NYC. The Series is called 'On Your Radar' and is hosted by WFUV's John Platt. I'm subbing for Sloan Wainright, so I have some big shoes to fill..a-hem...(don't know what size her feet are.
I'll be joined by Mark Barden, Eddie Denise and Ali Chambliss, (she's coming in from VT!)
Also on the bill are Gillen & Turk (my buddies) and April's Fools

Located in the beautiful glass atruim of the River Garden building in downtown Bratt! Love this space, an acoustic dreamcicle.

The Foundry Cafe is a hub; for early risers, for lost souls and whole people, for thirsy dogs and apple crumble seekers. LOVE the WaterColor Cafe. They host a very dynamic music scene which features nationally touring artists as well as regional talent. It is also quite the hub for jazz...standards....speaking of standards, that's what we'll be doing for this show. I may finally get to wear a gown, long white gloves and drape myself across the piano. Ok, we don't have a piano player, so I may have to settle for Barden's amp in the drapage department. Any hoo, I feel very connected to this music, I seem to channel somthing velvet and smokey... and it's a treat to put down the freakin' guitar and just sing. WaterColor Cafe's menu is fancy and very tasty but you can also sit at the bar and have a burger- it's ALL good 'G'.
This is a well respected series and I'm pleased to be asked to participate!
